Description:

The Dub Filter plugin is an innovative audio processing tool inspired by the renowned Big Knob of King Tubby, a significant figure in the roots reggae scene. This passive high-pass filter features eleven discrete frequency steps ranging from 70Hz to 7.5KHz, effectively capturing the essence of the classic Jamaican sound.

In addition to the primary stepped Frequency control and Impedance (resonance) settings, the Dub Filter provides extensive options for shaping its sonic character through Magnetism, Character, Dynamics, and Artefacts controls. These features enable users to tailor the filter's response to suit their creative needs.

Furthermore, the plugin includes two modulation sources—a Low-Frequency Oscillator (LFO) and an Envelope Follower—adding depth to its functionality. This capability allows for a diverse range of auditory effects, from rhythmic pulsations to more intricate, organic filter movements.

The Dub Filter is available for use as a standalone application as well as an AUv3 plugin, catering to various workflow preferences.
